The Brief
KAEFER Australia needed a refreshed website that would better serve both prospective clients and future employees. The goals were to simplify and clarify the site’s navigation, clearly highlight KAEFER’s core services, and place greater emphasis on employment opportunities and career pathways. The new site also needed to showcase recent projects in a more engaging way, while condensing overly long pages of written content into something more digestible. All of this had to be achieved within the framework of KAEFER’s global brand guidelines, while still creating a tone and visual identity that felt uniquely Australian.
The Solution
I led the UX and UI for this project, while serving as the main point of contact between KAEFER and Egg. We restructured the site’s navigation by removing deeply nested menu items and introducing clearer, top-level sections, including a new area dedicated to careers, complete with staff testimonials to highlight employment pathways.
While the original intention was to feature live job listings from Seek, platform limitations meant this wasn't feasible. After reviewing options with our developer, we agreed that a direct link to their listings would provide a more reliable and sustainable approach within the project’s scope.
By streamlining content, we improved readability and ensured visitors could grasp KAEFER’s capabilities at a glance. Visually, we balanced corporate consistency with a distinctly Australian feel, using brighter tones, clean layouts, and engaging imagery. The result is a site that’s not only inviting but also functional, reinforcing KAEFER Australia’s leadership in the industry.
